S E ti I O R S VIRGINIA SI-IEPPARD Savannah, Georgia A.B. HISTORY Student Government Association: Y. W. C. A.: Phi Lambda Athletic Club II, 2, 3l: Science Club I2l: Glee Club ill: International Relations Club II, 2, 3l: I-lonors I3l Secretary ot Sophomore Class: Treasurer and Secretary ot Junior Class: President ot Senior Class. Blue-eyed Virginia, despite the tact that it might seem trite, has always reminded us ot a Dresden China figure. She has that fragile quali- ty about her. She has been the capable Presi- dent ot the Seniors this year, managing tea- dances, open-houses and benefit bridges with the same charm and graciousness. All ot which goes tar toward showing why Virginia was voted the most attractive of the Seniors this year. LOUISE AMBOS Savannah, Georgia A.B. HISTORY Student Government Association: Y. W. C. A.: Phi Kappa Athletic Club ll, 2, 3,l: Glee Club I2l: Philharmonic Club II, 2, 4I: Science Club l3l: Ar- gonian Literary Society l3l: International Relations Club I3, 4l: Y. W. C. A. Cabinet I2, 3l: PINE BRANCH Statf l3l: Business Manager ot PINE CONE l4l: I-Ionors II, 2l: G. S. W. C. Emblem To hear her talk you would think Louise was just a home girl , but you should see her at a dance! You'd know positively she was a social butter-tly until you saw her in the library studying. That sight would be enough to convince anyone that Louise was one ot the intelligentsia. And the way she manages the business end of the PINE CONE leads us to believe that after all she was meant to be a business woman. The only thing that we can be sure ot is that Louise is a girl of unusual charm-the rest must continue to de- pend on the moment. ,.fiI'X. L. c F x U . 4, Mi y , . 9 l'j,.' fl' 'ki ' , , 11, 5 42'ff'.2wm1- 'g na, ' 1 GERALDINE ARRINGTON Ellaville, Georgia A.B. ENGLISH Transfer from G. S. C. 1l, 21: Student Government Association 13, 41: Y. W. C. A. 13, 41: Phi Lambda Athletic Club 13, 41: Argonian Literary Society 131: Vice-President Literary Society 131: Glee Club 131: English Club 13, 41. We first knew Gerry after her transfer two years ago as Frances Arrington's sister, but that was only for the first few days. It didn't take her long to establish herself as a separate individual with a personality quite as likable as her sister's. One thing they hold in common is the talent for dra- matics, but Gerry neglected to try out for Sock and Buskin Club, and so had to confine her acting to the Play Production class. Collecting bunny coats wouldn't be bad as a hobby, either. 'iffy Q J' f5s.1K 4-' 5.2 11,1 A Ly, W S E N I O R S ELEANOR BAILEY Douglas, Georgia A.B. ENGLISH Transfer from S. G. S. C. 1I, 21: Student Govern- ment Association 13, 41: Y. W. C. A. 13, 41: Y. W. C. A. Cabinet 13, 41: Phi Lambda Athletic Club 131: Glee Club 13, 41: Treasurer, Glee Club 141: Ar- gonian Literary Society 131: Entre Nous 131: English CMbU,H:WNECONESmH1M. Eleanor is that rarest of rare persons, the pos- sessor of a sympathetic nature who is never bothered with the cares of others because they like her too much to trouble her. Since her ar- rival two years ago she has made such a place for herself that we wonder why we didn't miss her before she came. Just being around her gives one a deep and abiding sense of the rightness of things, and it is fitting that she should have been voted the best all round senior, embodying as she does all those qualities which we should like to see in Miss G.
