MARGARET BAKER Valdosta, Georgia A.B. ENGLISH Randolph-Macon Woman's College fl, 25 5 Ar- gonian Literary Societyg Kappa Athletic Asso- ciationg Valdosta Clubg English Club. Margaret is one of those rare girls whom the elusive Word charming', just suits. Always pleasant and usually smiling, she has a certain subtlety that is most intriguing. Her interest and enthusiasm have done much to make the English Club successful even as her participa- tion in all phases of class work has made her a valuable student. Visiting her former home in Savannah is her favorite diversion-and one Wonders if perhaps there is a particular attrac- tion, Years, we feel, will never erase the memory of this debonair and most pleasing of classmates. MARY ELIZABETH BELL Valdosta, Georgia A.B. Music Lucy Cobb fl, 255 Argonian Literary Societyg Kappa Athletic Associationg Philharmonic Club. There's a new music student here! A junior- from Lucy Cobb. She plays the piano and takes violin too. What an addition she'll be to the Philharmonic Club! These are bits of conver- sation that one might have overheard in the music practice rooms at the beginning of the year '31-'32. Now, as Mary Elizabeth's second and last year is nearly ended, we know what a great deal she really has contributed to the music circle. Three hours of daily practice have neces- sarily limited her activities, but that clever inter- pretative dance, The Old Man , which she gave at the Athletic Party, suggests many other poten- tial abilities. ,-n,,,,,, .,... High honors have become a matter of course as far as Annie Sue is concerned. Possessor of an apt mind as well as ambition and persever ance, she rarely knows what it is not to make a straight row of A's. Physical fitness and men tal ability, it is said, go hand in hand5 and the record. of Annie Sue confirms that theory, for she has made a place for herself in the athletic life of the college as well as the academic life Isn't it marvelous to be able to depend upon someone to do a thing, and do it well? We can answer from experience that it is-Annie Sue never fails. ' f' .ff w -:V ., , :jd E' :airl- Al sp.. 5 'Fi ,EJ-E ,,l If H-'i 'i.
