' 4 .' The Presiclentis Greeting OU ll nie that the College comes of age this year. and that the motif of the IE' Annual is found in this interesting fact. Not legal age, solid twenty-one, it is true, but that more interesting age to young women, marriageable age, fair eighteen, it is. So it is: so be it. And yet what father ever realized his daughter is grown up? It is only when he compares his daughter. grown young lady that she is, with the pretty, captivating 'gkiddiei' that she used to be that he realizes what has happened. So it is with the College. Those of us who have been with the College since its birth eighteen years ago. seeing it grow from day to day. watching it develop year by year, have to stop and compare to realize how much it has developed, how graciously it has grown. This is not a place to institute such a comparison. Suilice it to say that no father was ever more proud of his eighteen-year-old daughter than we who have been on the campus longest are proud of the College. There is no phase of the College life more creditable, more suggestive of its development than its extra- curricular activitiesg and there is no activity , more honorable and more honored ' ' i ' l' leart conoratulations. than the PINE CONE.
