MR. W. G. NU NN Superintendent B.S., Auburn, M.S., Auburn, Additional Graduate Work at University of Alabama, Southern Metho- dist University, Duke University, University of Georgia. If you would keep young and happy, be good, live a high moral lite, practice the principles of the Golden Rule, and do not speak evil of any man. ln other words practice obedience to the Divine Law. The person who is growing and develop- ing intellectually and spiritually does not grow old and unhappy like the person who has ceased growing. If you would achieve success in life, plan your life well. lt is very important that you plan and that you do not make mistakes in your planning. Plan carefully and prayer- fully. Resolve that you will some- day be an industrious man, a benev- olent man, a well-bred man, a re- ligious man, and a useful man. These things are translated, Suc- cess. ill, lt is my wish that each and every person in the class of 1953 shall have a full measure of long life, happiness, and success. QFLCOLLPQQQ ua tAl 0lfl,gA0lflt 4' fo , , Your superintendent and friend, OUP ISCAOOZ . . . MR. H. C. MARTIN Principal B.S., Georgia Teachers College, M.Ed., Mercer Univer- sity, Additional Graduate Work at Duke University. Senior days fly lightly by, and thoughts of grandeur fill our minds. Sweet remem- brances of happy moments, and bitter disillusionment, fight for the center of our stage. Happy hearts dipped suddenly in a potion of black poison is our lot - but for a brief moment - then we are happily on our way to life's great adven- ture. Those things we all hold dear - honor, integrity, and the art of human kindness - for eternity are ours to cher- ish, and the remembrance of all the dear faces that have passed us with bright, shining eyes in the halls of V. H. S. Sincerely your friend, f,Zn..,.r1 Ghibli,
