In their season the Tigers had a 12 to 3 record and of these 3 loses only one was a As the season was closing the title in our division was in a three way tie between Valdese, Marion, and Wilkes Central, but in the closing games Marion lost out to Wilkes, then the Eagles from Wilkes met the Tigers to suffer a 21 to 13 defeat conference loss. which gave Valdese their division crown.
