In grateful appreciation we dedicate the 1981 Valkyrian to Mr. Paul Ziering. For many years Mr. Ziering has gone about his business of guiding young people! he has done this with a minimum of fanfare and credit. Many people will touch us in our lives, but few will leave a lasting impression. Mr. Ziering is a person we shall remember always for the little extra he always gave to us. Thank you. Mr. Ziering. Presenting . . . Valkyrian 1981 As four years draw to a close, we wish to thank the administrators, teachers, and other staff members at Vailsburg High School who have guided us along the way. Growing up is never easy, but because of the efforts of many fine unselfish people, we are a little wiser, a little smarter than yesterday. We know now that the sharp word, the call to a parent, and the too-long homework assignment are a way of saying. I care about you. I want you to be somebody someday.” Before we say goodbye, we especially wish to thank Miss Theresa S. David, principal of Vailsburg High School. In our four years at Vailsburg High School we have seen Miss David transform this school from a place where fooling around was the order of the day into a place where real learning and growth takes place.
