NEW JERSEY TABLE OF CONTENTS 6—Dedication 8—Scrapbook Page 10—Seniors 54—Faculty 76—Sports 120—Activities 151—Senior Achievements 158-Ads 6 Wc dedicate this yearbook to the individu- ality of man and the unity of mankind; to a world where each person will be a single, sep- arate human being working for and wanting the good of all; to a world where each person will realize the importance of unity but will strive to achieve it without sacrificing his indi- viduality. We dedicate ourselves to working for this world of peace and harmony by using our knowledge of the past — its mistakes and suc- cesses — and our understanding of human nature. We recognize that each individual has his gift to offer to the world. But it will be worthless unless wc work together, never sup- pressing a fellow human being. 7 iVI i MSI9UUIUJLS El)c?fcUtJlork Sime 1167 OEC 05 70 SATUK f 61 o2 |S: 2 ; — • s o: - Ui s = ota ;vi: X yj- rtc' aNf ARTS AND LEISURE a Dfu Claxi of 1971 cordially incita you Ks 'f on a trlfi to tfii cftcjt of crfyuaxlus” y Evening, J {ay 22, 197 C cStmi-f S w Ni t CO Our Air Meter Vailsburg, To Thee we proudly sing. honor or thy banner Our joyous voices rinr. ELIAS LEVINSON Adviser 149 Producing a yearbook is a job undertaken by few and un- appreciated by many. Right now I want to show my appre- ciation to the few who spent practically all their waking hours working on the 1971 VALKYRIAN. My first thanks go to the major editors who worked to- gether on coming up with and carrying out the ideas that were incorporated in the yearbook. They withstood the many pres- sures that arc a part of the job. The countless other people who proofread, typed, and took part in the yearbook sales were a great benefit in alleviating the heavy work load. I want also to thank Dr. Levinson, our adviser, for his assist- ance in directing the production of the VALKYRIAN. I want to give special attention to the photographers who have greatly contributed to the yearbook’s new visual concepts. The staff has tried to get a message across to the students of Vailsburg High School. This message can be applicable to everyone’s life, and the VALKYRIAN staff arc aware of that fact — for they have thought it and lived it. Again, thanks to all the teachers and students who have helped to publish the 1971 VALKYRIAN. Peace and happiness, ANTOINETTE MACHIAVERNA Editor-in-Chicf 150 -FN SENIORS SEATED: Ellen Ferrari.
