MR. NGBLOOD aperint ndent Our Vacaville Union High gchool of 1953 is not thc conventional campus with ivy- covered walls and traditions mellowed by time, but rather one .where the clean lines of modern multi-colored buildings refiect a new spirit. This spirit is the spirit of the present-eager, searching, creating fresh traditions for today and tomorrow. Our Vacaville Union High School Student Body is a wonderful organization! Many students so different, as all students are, yet bound together by something larger than their diHerencesg greater than themselvesg working together with a combined vision and courage that inspires us to higher loyalty and achievement. lt is this spirit that makes me proud to be Vaca High's Superintendent. To faithfully record the life and program of our school is a challenge that has been admirably accepted and met by the 1953 Ulatis Staff. The pages of this book reveal a story of our time. I trust the story will bring to each student a feeling of something achieved, something accomplished. May the memories of Vaca High be void of all that is bad. MRS. C.
