Under the guidance of coaches Ed Curzon and Nelson Snowden, the Varsity Hornets ended the season at 4-4. At midseason the mighty Hornets were 4-1 and one of the hottest teams in the area. The final three games were heart-breakers; the Hornets lost the first two by two and the final game, against Havana, by fourteen. The Junior Varsity season, boasting a record of 3-2, and the Freshman with a 1-2 record, showed the potential of future Hornet football teams. Good luck to those future teams and may they continue V.l.T.'s winning Guys, tackle the other team! tradition. 19 Tackle by Darren with 'Ned' on guard

BALL Left to Right: Coach Rosie Evans, Sara Wallace, Glenda Thompson, Brenda Porter, Jeanne Branson, Chris Beans, Lisa Cunningham, Martina Kaufmann, Denise Heaton, Shelly Woods. The 1984 Volleyball season this year has been both memorable and successful for both teams. A special thanks goes to Miss Evans for putting up with us all these years and for taking on the job no one else wanted, with a smile. We will always remember those attitude talks that everyone got one time or another and that famous saying, That's History . We know it hasn't been easy ... thanks. Our enthusiasm and participation as a team made for many enjoyable practices and games. We had our ups and downs, good games and bad, but we always seemed to work together at just the right times. The season over-all has been quite successful with both squads placing second in the WAC Conference and the Varsity receiving third in the County Tournament. But the one victory that will stand out in our minds is the defeat of Industry during their senior night. Good Luck next year.
