Books not here to collect dust on shelves Elizabeth Ray Doris Perkins Llbrarlan Assistant Llbrarlan B.J. I M.Ed. At the outset of each year, the librarians explain to all ninth graders the various facets of the library's operation. They accomplish this goal by having English teachers bring freshman classes. During the year, eleventh and twelfth graders complete research paper topics, and these students begin to realize the wealth of material the library possesses. All three ladies may bemoan having to shelve tables of secondary sources, but they also see tangible results exemplified by the students' work. The library also serves as a central location for combined classes viewing films or other audio visual material. And many students take advantage of the numerous magazines and periodicals by arriving during off periods or lunch periods.
