1955 56 LOBOS The 1955 56 Lobos defended their traditional title by repeating as District winners This makes the fifth consecutive year that the Lobos have emerged as district champs This year s pack will go down in the history of our school as being the first Lobo team to take a bi drstrict game It wrll also be remembered by the hundreds of loyal fans that our team went into regional play untred and undefeated in district play Although they fought as hard as they could Angleton defeated our girls, Angleton went on to win the State championship so all in all the girls basketball season may be termed most successful. In giv- ing credit to this fine team, it would be unfair to leave out their fine coach, Mrs. Cleo Broxton qCookiej, who has led these girls on to victory in the past years.
