'fi BILLY COLLIER 0446 0 Uvalde 0 - Del Rio 6 For the fifth time in the past six years, the final district game between Uvalde and Del Rio decided the winner of District 27AA The Ea- gle Pass Eagles backed into the Dis- trict as the results of a spectacular play. Del Rio heaved a desperate pass in the closing minutes of the game for the love score. From the very beginning, vicious tackling and stout defensive work on both sides was the pattern of the evening Twice Rucker intercepted Del Rio passes and once the hard charging Coyotes blocked a Wildcat punt Uvalde's offensive, however could not turn these breaks into anything like a touchdown There were few substitutes for Uvalde and credit has to be given to those starting and fin- ishing boys who played a whole game in defeat Linemen Scott, Foshee, Cruz, Peebles, Stutte an- tos, and McGinnis, played inspired ball. Kincaid Maddox, Taylor, Palmer, and Rucker deserve a lot of credit for their performances which were outstanding Congratulations Coyotes, on your fine work and bet- ter luck next year . nh '- fr-'1 - ,f ,kk L '3 W 'rf
