Staff, and Students: The pride ofany institution ofhigher learning is to have a yearbook that accurate- ly chronicles its activities. This yearbook staff has made us proud by vividly portray- ing and reflecting the activities and experiences shared by Utica Junior College's faculty, staff, students and the community. The purpose of education is to develop the potential of individuals for the better- ment of society: therefore it is indeed important that all facets of any educational program consist of quality faculty, staffand students. For this Utica Junior College strives. It has highly professionally trained faculty and staff who are inspired and dedicated to the task ofdeveloping individuals to their fullest capacities. The faculty and staff not only adapt to the needs of the students and the community, but they V t Another essential vehicle is the curriculum and its relationship to the develop- ment of individuals, At Utica Junior College, the curriculum is varied. It not only concerns itself with the development of one's academic and social responsibilities. but it also provides much broader understanding and recognition of how everything is interrelated. This curriculum further provides physical, emotional and spiritual growth, thus making the well-educated, competent student capable of reflective thought.
