OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT ...mlm ., , ...N -, v Jfu October 7, 1981 Faculty, Staff, Student Body and Friends of Utica Junior College... N ...One of the greatest challenges of an institution is to accurately and truthfully chronicle its activities. Our yearbook staff in this publication have met these challenges Hhead-onu and have done it in a very fine manner. The activities listed in this publication clearly reflect the kinds of institutional involvements of our students and our faculty. It shows the concern, dedication and the giving of oneself for the successful ongoing of an institution. Our students and faculty have been courageous in this attempt to give of themselves for the betterment of the college. We see this year as being a successful one for us, in spite of the many challenges and the many set backs. The calamities, through personal efforts, were minimized and the achievements, through personal efforts, were magnified. We are deeply indebted to the supporters of this institution and to our constituent groups for the excellent manner in which they shouldered their responsibilities and for the huge quantities of honor, loyalty, dignity and generosity that they gave to the task, in an attempt to insure effec- tiveness. They concentrated their attention almost entirely away from themselves and to the aspects relating to the achieving of the objectives of Utica Junior College. This kind of response to challenges bring out the biggest and the best qualities of a personality. A large investment of time, concern and effort have gone into this scholastic year. with this kind of support, Utica Junior College's vitality will never fail. Once again, we extend our congratulations to those who put these pages together and those who made the activities listed on these pages possible. ucationally your , Louis tokes residen JLSffbn - ' f t T i.! ii'W'i i 'l?f1??l??'i.:19+:i Utnca Jumor College be , f!U.'5PFFf1.
