ROBINSON THE 1981 UTICANITE IS THE HARMONIOUS CADENCE OF THE STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF, ADMINISTRATION AND FRIENDS WHO COMPRISE ONE GREAT SYMPHONY-UTICA JUNIOR COLLEGE. DR. COOPER JOINED THE FACULTY IN 1972. HE CURRENTLY SERVES AS CHAIRMAN OF THE DIVISION OF HUMANITIES. THE AMBASSADOR OF CULTURE, DR. COOPER IS ONE WHOM WE CONSIDER MUSICALLYASTUTE AND INTELLECTUALLY FINESSED. BECAUSE OF YOUR UNSWERVING LOYALTY AND DEDICATION, WE DEDICATE TO YOU DR. COOPER, THE 1981 UTICANITE. Dr. Bobby Cooper, a scholar at heart, received his B.S. degree in Music from Tougaloo College, Tougaloo, Mississippi. Upon graduating was awarded the James Marquis Music Award. He attended the Chicago Musical College and the University of Illinois from which he received his M.S. degree. He received his Ed.S. and Ed.D from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. Some of his experiences include, Lincoln and Thornburn Elementary Schools, Urbana, Illinois, The University of Illinois, Hawkins High School in Forest, Mississippi, Administrative Assistant, Counselor and Organist-Choir Director. He holds membership in many organizations, namely, Music Educators National Conference, American Choral Directors Association, National Fellowship of Methodist Musicians, Board of Directors of Opera1South, Phi Delta Kappa, Who's Who Among Black Americans. Dr. Cooper resides in Jackson, Mississippi with his wife, Della Larkin, his son, Christopher Marc and two daughters, Demetria and Lacarol. The Uticanite family salutes you Dr. Cooper for being one who is always willing to go the extra mile.
