Albert Einstein The 1979 UTICANITE is a culmination of the efforts of students, faculty, staff, administrators, friends and supporters who share a common bond: Utica Iunior College. So it is only fitting that we dedicate this UTICANITE to one who truly epitomizes the common interests of Utica Iunior College. We the future Uticanites have chosen Mrs. Ellestene Turner as the most deserving person, worthy of this 1979 UTICANITE. We make this sincere dedication because she gives meaning and dignity to the hopes and dreams of those of us who have touched upon the realm of her unselfish contributions to Utica junior College and Hinds Agricultural High School. Mrs. Turner joined the Utica Iunior College, then Utica Institute, and Hinds County Agricultural High School Staff in 1952. For 27 years, she has served higher education as a concerned educator, counselor, registrar, admissions officer, and most of all, a warm, friendly, and congenial human being. Not only has Mrs. Turner made giant contributions to Utica Iunior College, but she has also woven her lasting and significant contributions into the farmework of womanhood like a perpetual thread. So it is to you, Mrs. Turner, whom we love, admire, sometimes envy, and often emulate, that we most humbly and reverently dedicate this 1979 UTICANITE.
