HIGH SCHOOL DEDICA TION 'gGet not your friends by bare compliments, but by giving them sensible tokens of love. It is well worth while to learn how to win the heart of a man the right way. Force is of no use to make or preserve a friend, who is an animal that is never caught nor tamed but by kindness and pleasure. Excite them by civilities, and show them that you desire nothing more than their satisfactiong oblige with all your soul that friend who has made you a present of his own. Socrates Louis Lee during his nineteen years here at Utica Junior College has proved to be a friend to all, a friend to the institution, a loyal and dedicated worker. Through his musical efforts we have been rewarded. Not only have we gained a musical enthusiast, but a true, genuine friend. For these reasons and more we dedicate this 1973 annual to you, Mr. Louis Lee. 9

His motto could easily be the words of Washiligton Irving: l'Honest good humor is the oil and wine of a merry meeting, and there is no jovial companionship equal to that where the jobs are rather small. and the laughter abundant. 8
