Z! 1 is ' In Curricula Ujferea' and Facilities Available Utica junior College is a two-year institution. I t ojfers three hasic programs: two years of general education which enables a student to transfer to a senior college to work toward a hachelor's degreeg Vocational-Technical Program, upon the completion of which a student may go directly into employmentg and Community Service in form of the Home Economics Department and Agricultural Department working with the farm families to improve rural living. Courses offered in the Vocational Technical Program are: auto mechanicsg harhering, cosmetologyg drafting and design technologyg electrical technologyg building and construction technologyg hriclzmasonryg and secretarial science. The physical plant has constantly increased and is now valued at approximately one and a half million dollars. The philosophy behind the growth of the curriculum and plant stems from the original idea of the founder which was to improve the quality of life of the people served hy the school.
