SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY Comrade President: I hope my letter finds you well. In answer to your letter inquiring of the condition of the territory, Russia that you so gracefully appointed me to govern. I present my State of the Union report and beg you humbly for acceptance. My Secretary of Treasury, Bob Rauch. has instructed the Destributor of Commodities. - Martha Debolt, to increase the Russian peasants rations to two cans of saradines a day rather than the one can previously appropriated by former Director of Commodities, Georgia Kennedy. My Director of Athletics Boots Robinson asks for permission to enter his Russian Globe Trotters in the N. I. V. A. Tournament. The team consists of such stars as Graceful Swan, fcalled so because of his graceful movementsj, Gorden Brennan, fRussia 's modern Willie Stiversj, and Ice McFarland, fcalled so because of his ability to control his temperl. Last week while visiting the SHADY DEAL, A Russian night club owned by Buck Daniels, I met two of my old friends, Butch QTinyy Good and Jerry McArtor, who were employed by his establishment. HS bvuncers. My wife, the former Joyce Nye, dropped in a Russian salon the other day for a hairdo, eastern style.. and was surprised to find Betty Proctor and Francis Nethers working as hair dressers. On the way home she stopped at the garage to have the oil changed in our Model A and was greeted by George Traicoff and Don Bennett, who are at the present, trying to change the liquid form of oil into a mirgraite chunk that will produce a form of Atomic energy: By the way, the owner of the station was my old pal, Charlie Rostofer. My wife has been driving me crazy trying to persuade me to have the house redecorated. She is insisting that I have the interior decorating done by the two most talented interior decorators in Russia, Gatha Kinney and Marcia McDonald. Oh, I forgot to mention it in the first part of my letter, but I have been sick and have been attended by the two beautiful nurses. Linda Lynn and Janet Miller. But what peeved me most was my Dr. James Boyer paid more attention to my nurse, Miss Lynn. than he did to me. Well, Iwill get on with my report. My Director of Agriculture. John Lynn has employed Fred Sheets and David Walton to attempt an experiment by which they will cross a Russian Polar Bear with a Texas Longhorn and get an African Camel. I am sending my children to a Russian Public School. Their two favorite teachers are Claire Ann Riley and Kay Helphrey. At the head of the Health Department are Delbert Robinson and Sonnie Casper. They eat their lunch at Virginia McKee's and Frances Ryan's restaurant, which has as their speciality Black Rye bread and boiled cabbage. My private secretary, Saralou Glancy, has just notified me that I am to attend a luncheon and speak tonight. I have hired two new cooks, they are, Darlene Treadway and Juanita Anderson. I also hired a chauffer. Ronald lance, and a porter, Bill O'Hara. My two chief mathematicians, Kippy Johnson and Edwin Russell, have invented a wheel chair with a automatic gearshift. Now I don't have to bother my chief servant, Harold McDonald, to push me around the mansion. Iread in the Russian Times that Fred Skeen had broken the worlds record in high hurdling. By the way continued on page 15
