Second Row Cleft to rightj-Forrest Davis, Carlton Riley, Richard Beebe, Wendell Farley, John Ball, Franklin Beever, William McCann, Earl Smith, Gerald Davis, Carl Baughman, Marilyn Furley, Richard Boyer, Donald Martin. CLASS OF 1 95 1 In September twenty-five boys and girls entered Utica junior High as the seventh grade with Mrs. Kauber as sponsor. The class elected as officers Richard Beebe, president, Alice Cooksey, vice-president, John Ball, secretary, Mary janet Montonya, treasurer, Carlton Riley, Student Council representative, john Ball and Mary janet Montonya, Ink Splash reporters. They chose as the class flower the white snapdragon and the class colors, silver and blue. The seventh graders did not neglect sports either. There were several boys playing on Fred Davis' junior high basketball team. Eight members from their class played in the band. These were James Zigler, Franklin Beever, Marilyn Furley, john Ball, Carlton Riley, Donald Martin, Sue Coburn, and Richard Beebe, Early in the year, they presented a Hallowe'en Chapel for the student body. STUDENT COUNCIL Every second period Thursday you hear through the halls, The meeting will come to order. Yes! The Student Council members are again assembled to discuss old and new business. The Council consists of 23 members plus Mr. Ball, the sponsor. Lois Babb serves capably as president. The Council has built up the school morale by planning many activities. Dancing after basketball games and intramural basketball were Council projects. A Valentine formal dance was sponsored by the Council. For these things and many more the Council has tried and succeeded in carrying out the wishes of the student body. -Ann Htmkimon
