CLASS OF 1950 Imagine what the future has for Utica High School in the way of Sinatras, Wlalkers, Johnsons, Shores, and Grables. The president of the eighth grade class is Jack Beckholt and if a man couldn't handle the job a woman, joan Biggs, was elected vice president. Since Nelson Spray is good on his notes, he was appointed secretary. It takes a woman to handle the money, so Helen Ferguson was appointed treasurer. As a star news reporter, Ronnie Rine was elected because he is always up to date with the news. Not an incident slips by without his knowing. Fred Herchline, a coming Van johnson, was elected Student Council representative. Y The eighth grade is very well represented in the band by Anna Mae Beebe, Dixie Lee Hall, Fred Herchline, and Edwin Smith. The class is honored by Ronnie Rine's being drum major. On February 15, the group presented an interesting Lincoln's Birthday program in assembly. . The members of the eighth grade class look eagerly, forward to four happy years of loyal service in the productions of Utica High School. -Carol Bootle Page Twenty Seven
