According to yeur re- cerds, sene very impertant events teek place. lhat fun we had at eur first high school party en Sept- ember 291 The Seniors initiated the Freshmen at the party and eh, hew they suffered! Hew well I remember the day Octeber 121 It was eur hcmeceming and the day was ful ed with thrills when the queen was crewned and chills when we lest eur feetball game...... And here is anether event that wen't be fergetten by the Seniers be- cause en Octebcr 17, they spent an exciting day in Columbus getting their pictures taken. Nevenber 10 dance, and I see that en we had a high school sa I remember, it was a great success. Here is seme- thing I ellest everleeked eur first basketball gane ef the seasen en Nevenber 16 with Reyne1dsburg........Yes, we lest by twe points, but we did better after that. It was en December 20 that we had eur Christmas Candle- Llghting Service ---- and I night say, it was ef the eutstanding events ef the year. Then, en December 22, the Juniers spen- sered a dance te get everyene in the Christnas spirit. On January 15 we cane bask te seheel after an extended Chisb nas Vacatien due te the severe add weather and a breakdewn en en! seheel heating systen. le spent the remaining part ef Janaurg get- ting caught up with eur se eel- werk, but en February 17, the Juniers started things relling again. Yes, it was the Junier play entitled 'Too IANY HUS- BAHDS' and ene ef the best plays ever witnessed in the anditer- iun ef Sulnit High. 29 New, here is a date that will never be fergetten. It was a dance en March 16, spen- sored by the Seniers. They really did thingr up r1ght,tee because it was their last chance te de anything like that. Speaking ef the Seniors, it was en April 21, that they gave their play and I might add a geed ene, teel Then aleng cane the All- Ceunty Spring Festival. Summit always leeks ferward te partici pating in this event. In the Chorus there were Marjerie Gin- bey, Patricia Frame, Clara Jane Herch, Leretta Camden, William Foster, Clytus Hewitt, and Carrell Fisher. We were repre- sented in the Band, tee, by Jane Frame, Patrieia Frame, and William Festerg and in the Orchestra there were Patricia Frame and Mildred Henree. Our chapel programs this year were sane ef the best. le were pleased te have had such interesting speakers asg Rev. lright ef the Summit Methodist Church, Rev. Acerd frem Patask- ala, Rev. Ielfe fren Gahanna, Edward A lright frem Denisem University, and lr. Catternan ef Capital University. In lay sene ef the nest exciting events eccurred. First there was the Junior and Senier Banquet which was a very thrik ling night. The Juniers did a very nice jeb ef entertaining the Seniers and everyene had an enjeyable evening. Then cane Baccalaureate en lay 15 and Graduatien en May 18. the Seniers leeked very dignind in their blue caps and gewns slth the scarlet and gray tassels. Ol llay 21 there was the Annual Big Scheel picnic and Class Day. It was, hewever, the last day fer the Seniers, and they said geed- bye te 'Sulnit H15h,' Fendly, A SINIGR
