lith the close HANOXER - 'FOB SO Football Under lr. Spies our new foot- ball coach, the H. T. football squad has shown great ability. Victories this season were scored over Summit, Homer, Kirkersville, and Alexandria. le suffered de- feat from Jacksontown and Etna. Still we think this was a good season for H. T. From our school Russell Hewitt was chosen half- back for the all county Six-man Football team. Basketball Basketball held high interest in Hanover-Toboso High this year. Contests were won over Homer, Hartford, Etna, Hebron, and Kirk- ersville. We were defeated by Utica and Granville. Our tour- nament game was with Johnstown on February 20. le had tough luck that night because Johns- town beat us. Better luck next season. Dances Dances on Friday nights in the high school auditorium was a pro- ject lniated by the Student Coun- cil. By charging admission the Council was able to buy the lat- est records an other accessories. These dances were discontinued during basketball season because they interfered with the basket- ball schedule. Freshmen Initiation n September 29, the initia- tion en the freshman class, and new teachers provided a source of amusement for the high school The job was well done by the Student Council. In their honor a party and a dance was given in the evening in the high school auditorium, at the expense of those who attended. A most en- joyable evening was spent by all who cane. Junior Play 11The Junior play, entitled The A American Boy was given Harsh 5 at Hanover and March 7 at To- boso. It was a comedy presented in three acts and written by Jam- es Stone. Assemblies Hanover-Toboso school assen- blies have been discontinued due to the broken furnace at Hanover which caused us to move to the Toboso building. These programs will continue as soon as we get back to our normal schedule at Hanover.
