Education Drama Ben practicing for his new ‘‘character’' part. “The Curious Savage, a comedy drama directed by George Tanner, finds a wealthy castoff mother, Ivy Gabbitas, in The Cloisters, a mental rest home. Shirley Jones, LaMar Anderson, Lynne Paolotti, play the roles of several of the inmates in the home. Players of tho Utah State Theatre are an ovidence of a forthcoming production by their gathering around the Callboard. The dramatics productions vary widely, including comedy, romance, melodrama, and psychological conflicts. A play under student direction was initiated for the first time this year. Guest in the House, directed by Don Quayle, was produced by the Theta Alpha Phi, honorary dramatics fraternity. Shakespoaro's Hamlet was presented in the spring.

Floyd Morgan directod Trelawny of the Wells, a romantic comedy by Sir Arthur Wing Pinero. One of the realistic type plays, it portrayed an English company of actors from the 1860's. Roso Trelawny was played by Shirley Jones and Rosalcna Robinson. Larry Wright, Lyle Loosli, Niol Christensen, Joan Wood, and Lynetta Kunz played some of the other parts.
