Upon entering the Military Science Building, I was greeted by the originator of southern hospitality, energetic Colonel Timberlake, who treated me as if I were General Eisenhower. Admiring all the prevalent handsome men, uniforms, and brass, I went out to the gun shed, where I had put in time helping build floats for various organizations. I bid farewell to this interesting hub of military activity and went through the heavy sliding door. The Tower of the beloved old Main juts out of the campus, beckoning students from far and near to take advantage of the opportunities of a higher education. The bell from the tower rings out in praise of students in hours of victory. Perched atop Utah State Agricultural College, the tower is an impressive sight to behold. Examining it internally, one has the feeling of being on top of the world, and, looking across the beautiful valley, he is grateful to be an Aggie attending this college.

I then went into the L. D. S. Institute, where silence and peacefulness predominated this beautiful afternoon. I thought of the many inspirational Sunday School services I had attended in the lovely chapel. I remembered the numerous dances that had been held in the decorative recreation hall . . . the organ recitals during intermission, at which time many a pin was hung. As I sat in the comfortable lounge, I reminisced about the friends I had acquired and the fun I had enjoyed at Mutual in this setting. The game room downstairs had been the scene of unforgettable parties. An important asset . . . socially as well as religiously.

A coke, a smoke, and you, dear 1 What a pleasant way to sluff a class ! With the beautiful soft strains of A Huggin' and A Chalking” and Open the Door, Richard—I Know You're In There 'Cause I've Got On Your Suit Today” as background music, luncheon at the Bird is enjoyed by four thousand and fifty students every day Arriving at Utah State, I discovered that one's degree of “collegiate-ness” is determined by the number of hours he spends in the Bird per day. Boy ... am I collegiate ! I did more socializing there in one year than I could have done by being active in three sororities and a couple of fraternities for four years. A cute place—no less 1 Bouquets to George for keeping so many students happy for so long 24
