One of die hardest men to find hut the easiest to talk to is . A. Pederson. dean of the school of arts and sciences. Is the life of even.' party. His witticism keeps people Irom taking life too seriously. Seldom lets duties interfere with his hunting and fishing. I las heen trying to play golf, hut as yet liasn t hit the hall. Home life consists ol a lovely wife, five daughters, and doting dog. When not at work Dean Doctor William Lawrence Wan lass, distinguished-looking head of the school of commerce, may he found puttering around in his garden. Second only to his interest in improving the commercial department is his pride in his flowers and tin distinction ol having the greenest lawn in town. A deep philosopher and profound thinker, he is vitally interested in international affairs. Never hesitates in expressing himself. Affectionately known us Butch. A good deal of Dr. Rudger H. Walker's ability to so ably manage the School of Agriculture came Irom his early training on farms. His interest in his department lakes most of his time, and his three children demand the rest. A husky, hearty outdoor lover is Paul M. Dunn. Dean ol the School oi I'orestry. Is a staunch believer ol the tall t ruths of Paul Runyan. Chamber ol Commerce. Rotary C lub. and hoy Scouts occupy his spare lime. Enjoys a game ol goll occasionally and likes a good hand of bridge. Mis side line is journalism. An articulate and fascinating speaker in the classroom, a nature lover at home. and an extremely interesting person at all times might be the thumbnail description of E. A. Jacobsen. Dean ol the School ol Education. Rather than having any certain hobby. Dr. Jacobsen has a wide diversity ol interests. Likes to associate with all classes of people and prefers the informal to the formal in any circumstance. In speaking of Dr. lames I I. Linford. Director of the Summer Session, any phrases synonomous of courtesy and thoughtfulness could be applied. As a carry-over from his boyhood days on a farm he has a flower garden for a hobby. Prides himsell on his attendance record to all college functions. Admits favorite form ol recreation is travel, because he is loo impatient to fish anymore.
