EDICATION T+ Frederick P. Champ has carried forward the traditions of Anthony W. Ivins, his noble predecessor in office. Consequently he enjoys the loyalty and full suport of members of the Board, President Peterson, the Faculty, and the Student Body. Alumni and friends of the College everywhere. All are grateful for signal accomplishments of the post four years, os all are confident that the years ahead, under his leading, will bring gifts in their hands. We may expect from him in the future a continued firm adherence to the policy of Jeremiah W. Sanborn who fifty-one years ago dedicated the Institution to the enlightened well-being of those who toil. As a Utahn of wide experience and varied contacts with many walks of life, and os a humanitarian, he knows and sympathizes with the needs of our commonwealth. He knows, besides, just what the Institution must do and be to meet them. His ideas become realities. Although there will be no departure, during his administration, from the first principles of Land-Grant Institutions, there will b as in the past, projections and enlargements of educational oppo tunities for the masses in order to bear our share in the ever-growing responsibilities of a democracy. The people may rest assured that development in buildings, teaching facilities, and in faculty will continue to be made in response to the demands of the State of which he is an indefatigable servant. The Year Book, appraiser of collegiate achievements, extends to Frederick P. Champ. President of the Board of Trustees since 1935. deserved salutations. e' r-
