ARTHUR HERBERT SAXER, Dean of +he Schools of Ar+s and Sciences, died February, l932, mourned by an appreciafive sfudenl' body and facul+y. He leaves behind him a record of conscienfious achievemenl, a career dominaled by hard and unceasing work. Dr. Saxer was born in I88l a+ Wansan, Wis- consin. He enfered U. S. A. C. in l90S in +he School of General Science. He won a scholarship A'i' and maiored in Chemis'I'ry. Affer receiv- ing his Ph. D. from +he Universi+y of California in l9I5, he reiurned +o Ufah S+a+e and served in +he capaci+y of direc'l'or of fhe School of Home Economics, la'I'er as Dean of The School of Arfs and Science, he also served as Aciing Regisirar. This eminem' facul+y member was lisfed in American Men of Science, and was awarded +he Whi'ring Research Fellowship l9l2-I3, while ai' school in California. He was ac'rive and prominenr in communify affairs, also, having been a member of The American Legion, Logan Mens' Club, and having served for +he Twelve years preceding his dea+h on 'I'he Logan Cham- ber of Commerce.
