' -n Eli V. ,J , o 0 aibecfzca lcon If ever the world needed men and women trained for worthy leadership, it needs them now. The class of 1951 realizes this, and are conscious of the present materialistic and communistic trends in the world. If America is to make her freedom secure and remain a power for the freedom of the world, it will have to be through an educated citizenry. Education for knowledge is, of course, fundamental, but it is not all. 'There must be education for intelligence, with which to meet problems and crises. There must be education for character, the basis of which is religion. Religion has molded our thoughts in the classroom, guided our activities on the campus, and adequately prepared us for the vocation we have chosen in life. Through it, we have learned to appreciate this factor which contributes to a fullness of life, and to understand the principles that underlie our fundamental way of thinking. As the door to our future dreams unlocks before us, we would like to leave behind a heritage to future seniors: The Key to Catholic Leadership-A Catholic Education.
