His relations with the students are not limited to the classroom. Dramatics, athletics, clubs, have all profited by his interest and advice. gfis Spirit gives O12 Over a period of a year and a half, we became well ac- quainted with and very much attached to Father Gallagher. He taught us religion during our freshman year and before many months had elapsed, We recognized in him the quali- ties of a real teacher and a true priest. Father Gallagher Was just, honest, and human. When he was taken from our midst, we experienced a real sense of loss. His Work here on earth as a molder of youth is finished. He was highly successful. God grant that more men pos- sessing the characteristics and qualities of Father Gallagher may assume the leadership of young people. Then, and only then, will our frenzied World return to a normal, peace- ful state. .Memoriaf .Mass -- Cn January 24, Bishop James A. McFadden celebrated a low ponti- tical Mass in memory of the second anniversary of Father Gallagher's death. The Mass was offered in the Ursuline auditorium and the entire student body attended.
