gather- Tccugluter imquet The annual Father-Daughter Banquet held on March 16 at Canyon Creek Country Club seemed to be a joyous occasion once again. Guest speaker Mary Denman opened the floor to questions, which was different from the way previous speakers addressed the girls and their fathers. This dinner is truly a memorable one. lt gives the girls a chance to spend an evening with their fathers, which unfortunately can he quite a feat with such conflicting schedules in families. Proud Mary and her father enjoy the evening together. 'LCan you guess what lim eating? we Any more ham for the ham? lt heats the convent dinners any day. 40 lndi-gestion? Pepto-Bismall

CELEBRATION OF THE FEAST OF THE IMIVIACULATE CUNCEPTION The Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8 turned out to be quite a different sort of day for everyone in the Ursuline community. The day began with a not-so-typical assembly. It was a presentation by the San Antonio Ballet Company, in which some of the members of the company demonstrated their many talents. The 'coohisn and c'ah's from the students showed their delight in the graceful movements of the per- formers. Then as usual, everyone went to her first class. But, to eve- ryone's surprise, the classes were just a little different that day. Instead of religion with Susan Klein, students learned about her famous camerag instead of English with Mr. Wisinski, classes experienced his drumming along with a guitar playing friend, and instead of teaching Math, Mrs. Cutaia performed mysterious magic tricks! Students soon learned that NO!, their teachers were not going crazy, but that the National Honor Society had asked each of the teachers to show students things they were interested in, or the things they did when they weren7t teaching. Other interesting things exhibited by teachers were Mr. Leitch's fishing gear, Mrs. Pfeilis beautiful doll collection, and Mrs. Casper's talk on Europe and Christmas decorating. But that wasn't all. That night Monsignor Murray said a mass in the gym open to everyone in the Ursuline family. Afterwards, parents, family, and friends were treated to a free, delicious Mexican supper in the cafeteria. All of this made the Feast of the Immaculate Conception a very special and memorable day. Where else but Ursuline could some- thing so unique happen? 42 'Qu ,Maw -- - Perfect balanczwstrength and grace. A moment at the family mass for prayer.
