The juniors act as 'grealn big sisters to the freshmen. If there are ever any questions the freshmanls big sister will always try to help. Some- times the only thing a freshman wants is a friend and a big sister is always the best kind of friend that a little sister can have. f ig gi e. - rl,lrrarrr.rrr rryyyrrr yr.rryrr,,r,l,, . aaar ,, e ' 5' iifff i Did you notice the connective tissue on your fried chicken? To get acquainted at the beginning of every school year the fresh- men and juniors go on the annual Big-Sister, Little-Sister picnic. This is usually a very enjoyable way to get to know the people whom you will be going to school with. The juniors provide the food and refresh- ments for the fresh- men and do every- thing possible to make the new members of the school feel that they are welcome.

ASSEMBLIES ABE GETTING BETTER . At the beginning of the school year, complaints were -ade about the Huninterestingn assemblies that were Q .resented to the student body. The Ursuline journalism ,taff wrote an editorial in the Ursuline Reveille about lthis problem and it inspired the Student Council and other concerned Ursuline people to do something about fit. A flood of new and different kinds of assemblits soon came to Ursuline. The San Antonio Ballet Company was brought to the Echool and put on an outstanding performance. The A. F. S. Trio also visited Ursuline to perform songs from all over the world. Later on in the year, George Massey The San Antonio Ballet Company at its highest point. came to exhibit his talents and techniques in opera sing- ing. He made opera a fun experience as well as a cultural one. The Coca Cola Company along with KTSA came to give a fun filled, multi-media presentation on advertis- ing. Of course, the Media-Drama department had its an- nual assembly which was marvelous as usual, and the Student Council held a farewell assembly to say goodbye to five of our teachers. Hopefully next year they will con- tinue to present new and exciting assemblies to the stu- dent body. It certainly put a little more sparkle into the school year. That's ltalianl? The Mock Election assembly. The Liberals on the other hand . . . 17
