Speech canal ibrccma This year's staging of plays and speech activities kept the Speech and Drama department busy with work. To kick off the season, g'Dracula7' was presented Nov. 20-21 in cooperation with Antonian High School. The play mystified the au- dience with illusions, tricks, and mysterious disappearances by Dracula Around Christmas time an unique play with gypsies recreating the Christmas story was performed on Dec. 16 with Christmas in the Village Squaref' It was an ad- ded attraction to the evening commemorating the Yuletide season along with the Choral and Art departments. The third production was entirely a new experiment. It was a Renaissance Evening on March 26 featuring scenes from Shakespearean plays, dancing and food from the era. Finally, the year was wrapped up with the Second Annual Speech tournament on May 6-7. It provided an opportunity for 7th and 8th graders to gain experience from speech competi- tion.
