This dream, of many returning Ursuline students, was shattered when the time arrived to report for orientation on August 18th and 19th. On August 18th the new incoming Freshmen eagerly reported. Most of them were more than ready to begin their four years of high school. They quickly learned that this school was not all Ursuline sports and Antonian football, but a serious place to further an education. Registration, book buy- ing, and getting to know fellow classmates filled the morning agenda. By twelve noon, the Freshmen prepared themselves for dances, parties, boys, and a little Algebra I on the side. Orientation for the Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors differed. They, hav- ing been through this excruciating ritual previously, found little com- fort in the hallowed halls. Yet, when i reminiscing began of afternoons spent in the library, spirit week, retreats, and how this year's prom better be the best ever, the pain of nine months of school lessened somewhat. After this celebration the girls are allowed the priviledge of wearing the Ursuline uniform. The juniors and seniors are the other participants in the ceremony. The juniors present the traditional blue sweater to their alittle sistersf' Seniors par- ticipate in the candlelight portion of the induction. A reception, following the celebration, concludes the eve- ning. Patty Zamarippa congratulates little sister Patricia Camacho. 13
