- Remember When . . .? ' Another year has gone by, and yet another class has had their minds filled with long lasting mem ries. To others, these memories may seem blase, but to the Class of 1977, these memories are qui special. For that reason, we would like to fill this page with a few of the remember whens shared I the Class of 1977. 4 Remember when . 4 . . . . Joan Zatopek and Karen Cotton were just two of the great members of the Antonian Pep Squad . . . we spent half our Freshman year with a man called Mr. Franz, who never quite answered what i quiry was all about? A . . . we had to change into our P. E. suits in the garage? - ' . . . we went to the frst Sleep-In and were wiped out the next morning? s . we learned how to bowl on gravel and grass? . . . we met our big sisters and went to Landa Park? - I . . . Marisa Guido ate more babytfood' on Slave Day than she had in her entire infancy? . . . . we engaged in Free Form sponsored by the NHS? ' . . . we couldn't decide on class colors, mottos, name, and the like? . . . we went with the entire student body to Corpus Christi? . . . the Drama Department performed Window starring Gumby? . . . we put on a truly successful Sophomore dance? . . . we had an All Saint's Day celebration with Godspcll as the main attraction? . . . we listened to the relationship between Mr. Ezba and Miss Staples and read the rumors about M Franz and Miss Staples? 1 . . . we went on our f'u'st retreat and Denise Pizzini fell in love with javalines and Kathy O'Connell fell hot water with Susan Klein for climbing on the cliffs? p . . . . we received our Serviam pins thus becoming part of U1suline's family? . . . we witnessed our gym blessing and later watched Thoroughly Modern Millie from within l walls? . . . tuition was raised to 863.00 pen month? . . . Mrs. Leitch cut her hair and Mr. Leitch went from bald to beard? . . . we f'mally shared classes with Antonian lads? . . . we experienced America's 200th birthday as Juniors? . . . we were faced with putting on a prom and ended up with the Hilton? . . . we f'mally were upper classmen and big sisters? A . . . we received our rings and celebrated at Canyon Lake? . . . Bob Krueger gave Ursuline a flag that had been flown over the Capital? . . . SAT and ACT tests plagued us? . . . Esther Fortes became Ursuline's first foreign exchange student? . . . Ursuline held its very own College Day? . . . the yearbook was delayed and delayed and delayed and . . .? . . . Civics Day came into being? . . . Awareness Days caused major chaos between the students and the Student Council? . . . we f'mally paid off the gym? . . . Leslie Luttrell was late for our Graduation picture and Julie Tarrillion never even knew about i . . . the Blood Drive was less than successful? . . . college choices had to be made? . . . we fmally had open campus? ' . . . we voted in a mock election and President Ford won? . . . Mrs. Root tried to help us sing our class song-'We May Never Pass This Way Again?' . . . the garage downstairs had a flameless fire? . . . Graduation caps and gowns arrived? . . . Graduation at Laurie Auditorium on May 15, 1977 passed, and we were no longer students at U suline Academy? 138 I
