He begins to wonder what his years of elementary training have really meant to him lf he is an Ursuline pupil. the boy discovers that he is more fortunate than he has ever stopped to realize. As l look back over my years at Oak Street. l remember more of pleasure than of work. l suppose that is because the nuns knew so well how to disguise the work to make us think it play. l recall those never to be forgotten recreation periods filled with football or basket ball, or. when spring invited us outdoors again. a good game of baseball. Then. too. there were those refreshing periods in the classroom when lessons took the form of an exciting eon test. an educational movie. or an interesting debate. I remember the way we struggled to win honors in the ranks of the servers. and the pride we took in our responsible positions as patrol boys.
