Wie Se entls geqde 'Science C1116 During the past hundred years many startling discoveries have been made in the world of science. Strange and unbelievable truths have been learned of the stars and planets whirling about in the heavens. Doctors have uncovered much that has helped in the care ofthe human body. The seventh grade. too, is eager to learn about science' -Y about plants and the habits of animals. ln our English book there are several suggestions for clubs- Cood Citizenship Club. Book Club. and many others. One day a vote was taken to form a Science Club. Paul Blesi was elected president with Jack Shoemaker as secretary. The class divided into groups, each studying and reporting on that part of science in which it was interested. Gayle McNeil brought a minature rock garden. and explained its many odd shells, stones. and plants. Bob Mitchusson, Paul Blesi, and Lodge NVeber found different types of fossils about their homes and put them on display in our room, Even crabs and turtles made their appearances in the seventh grade. Our Science Club is only an introduction to the vast unknown world ahead ol us, but with the experience of men and women before us, we can learn more easily and clearly.
