Spirits raised by the Jesuit cheerleaders, the pep rally was brought to a climatic finish with the announcement of the second annual Homecoming King court. Members of the court included Brent Becker,Frank Hubach,Justin Kirby, Jerry Tillotson,and Mike Tullis. The prestigious honor of wearing the Burger King crown was bestowed upon King Garret Garner. HOMECOMING ‘87 1987 saw the return of the traditional two night Homecoming celebration. Friday night the Jesuit Rangers surged to victory, defeating Crockett 21-0. At half-time, Erin McDowell was crowned Homecoming Queen. The court was composed of Hunter LaFountain, Jennifer Noble, Stacie Peake, and Elizabeth Tipton. The following night the students gathered once again for the dance at Jesuit. Dancing to ‘‘The Quick’, students capped off a victorious weekend. SENIOR INTRAMURALS As the SENIORS last year of Intramurals came to an end, the enthusiastic volleyball players proved to be victorious over ALL underclassmen. JUNIOR POE San INTRAMURALS eines ce Once again the Juniors were victorious with their g@ outnumbering spirit and original theme, ‘Junior World’. % J UNIOR (ord SOPHOMORE INTRAMURALS Although the Sophomores didn't win any first place prizes, they won many second place prizes such as skit and spirit with their ‘Soph Rock Cafe’. ONLY SPRT stiviN snp Sr Ue SP ALLOWED wite i Seay FRESHMEN INTRAMURALS As ‘TOP FROSH'soared into the gym they captured the entire audience's 4 ake attention. Their intriguing skit displyed Sy }f za Br AR initiative and great organization. Freshmen .. ok ey. were awarded first place in the skit y Best le catagory SNOWBALL °88 On the wintery night of December 19, the Senior girls escorted their debonair dates to the annual Snowball Dance. The celebration was held at the Grand Kempinski Hotel and music was provided by ‘‘Optium’’. The Snowball court consisted of Queen Martha Werner and her Princesses Jonnyka Bormann, Teresa Messineo, and Laura Munno. SR SOPH JR FROSH PICNIC As the Seniors and Sophomores sis’ reunited again from last year with lunch in Haggar Center, bed the Juniors and Freshmen sis’ partied on the grounds of St. Joe's with the theme of ‘flower children’. HALLOWEEN DANCE With the arrival of October 31, members from all four classes gathered in Haggar Center for the annual Senior- sponsored Halloween dance. Notable attendants included the California Raisins, Hari Krishnas, and the Wizard of Oz characters, as well as the traditional Rambos, Draculas, and belly dancers. All students seemed eager to shed their uniforms and don their costumes to enjoy a festive Halloween evening. The theme of the show was a ‘Kaleidoscope of Colors.’’ The fabulous models were members of the Senior Class and their mothers, who showed the latest fashions for 4 I “Sfdent Life f PROM 1988 The Junior-Senior Prom held on the evening of April 16 at the Downtown Hilton proved to be ‘‘Some Kind of Wonderful’. Queen Margaret Pawlowicz, her princesses Diana Morris, Stephanie Scherzer, Lexy Sliva, and Amy Thomas along with the others who were fortunate enough to attend spent a glorious evening enjoying one another's company. URSULINE-JESUIT TALENT SHOW THE URSULINE-JESUIT TALENT SHOW This year the Ursuline and Jesuit Student Councils organized the first annual Ursuline-Jesuit Talent Show. Mass was celebrated and the sophomores were presented with the traditional serviam metal. After the service, a breakfast was given for all of the sophomores and their parents. This day gave the sophomores a chance to pledge their service to Ursuline Academy while the seniors were able to remember past times. 4 SOPHOMORE RETREAT The sophomore retreats this year took place at the Christian Youth Foundation in Athens, Texas. The theme of the two days was 'Commitment’’. The retreats gave the sophomores a chance to reflect on the relationships with their peers and families, and most importantly, their prayer life with God. Overall, as the season moved on the girls united and became more of a team.
