CAMPUS Mary Ann Unger's renowned Temple was installed on campus during the week of September 22, 1987. The Temple is a gift of Muriel and Phillip I. Herman for the Fcltcrolf Dedication. This years I lomccoming held a double honor for Lynda I lobbs-I ernie. she was Sigma Rho Lambda's Homecoming queen nomination and was recognized as a member of the NCAA National Champion Lacrosse team. Lynda was a varsity member for three years playing defensive wing. After graduation Lynda will enter PNB's Wholesale Training Program, utilizing her Applied Math Economics major. Lynda's hometown is Collingswood, NJ. As for other activities, she has been a Student Assistant in the Office of Career Planning and Placement for four years. President of the Whitians. and Treasurer of Tau Sigma Gamma. Lynda was also named to Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities. When we asked Lynda why UC over other colleges, she replied the warm and personable people, the one-on-one rapport w ith the faculty and that UC was a small college. Her comments on the Residential Village included. It is a fantastic idea, and an area of the college that should always be kept up in order to keep the 'look'. 10 Senior Profiles

NEWS Art professor Theodore A. Xaras was commissioned by the Richter family to paint President Richter’s portrait in celebration of his 10th year anniversary. The portrait was unveiled at the November faculty meeting and then displayed in Corson I lull lobby for the campus to admire. When asked what male would best represent the graduating class of 1987. the answer was Mr. Ursinus. of course. Arvind Srinivasan was the winner of the first annual Mr. Lr-sinus competition, he is a Biology major and will be attending medical school upon graduation. With such a goal, it was not surprising that when asked Why did you choose I rsinus' he replied because of liC’s great pre-med reputation and the personal attention in and out of the classroom , but other reasons include the friendly people and atmosphere of the campus. You could easily become involved in different things. That is exactly what Arvind did. became involved. During his four years at Ursinus he has participated in the following: Resident Assistant for two years. President of Pi Omega Delta, Vice President of Beta Beta Beta. Secretary of Brownback-Anders Premcd Society and a member of the Cub and Key Honor Society. Arvind has also received such honors as National Dean’s List. Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities and Outstanding Young Men of America. But during Arvind’s free time, he enjoys the hobbies of weightlifting, jogging. and reading. Our final question to Arvind was his opinion on the residential village. He replied. I feel it is a great improvement to UC and it definitely adds to the aesthetic quality of the campus. II
