For more fun, they had a combination hay ride and skating party early in the school year. Then in December they had their senior pictures taken and began talking about graduation. During the basketball season they dragged in much barter stuff by serving refreshments to the masses of spectators who came to see the Tigers and Tigerettes crunch their many opponents. Their skip day was enjoyable and exciting--not one cub snarled during the entire day. They trekked over hill and dale and climbed fire towers. At one stop they went through Bridal Cave. They feasted at Lake of the Ozarks State Park, and stumbled through Bagnall Dam. Then these cubs, still ready for action, raced to the largest Temple in the land of Missouri, Jefferson City capitol building. They looked at all the old relics and antique weapons. From there they wrangled and tussled and finally decided to go to Sedalia, to see some moving pictures. After this they hot-footed it home. All the cleverness drilled into them by their various trainers came to their assistance when they presented their class play and it was a 'howling success.' The Junior cubs gave them a lovely banquet which they appreciated very much. Their May first trip to South Missouri repaid them fully, all agreed, for having spent so many hours sweating over dreary books. The crowning day came, however, when each happy, half-grown, educated cub donned cap and gown and padded softly across the stage to seize the great award--his high school diploma. So ended their fourth and last year. f'!f e Y 1 X K Vx Q- A .x, W vw' X rx' h 'f177fh Ewa T' . Y M l J ' M' X L Compliments of G0mPlfm9HtS Of Union State Bank Mar? SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY Excerpts from Janice's Diary ---- July 3, 2000 A.D. Dear Diary, Linda and her husband came to visit us at our penthouse, and while watching television we were amazed to see several members of our grad- uating class on the set. The first one of our old classmates to be interveiwed by Ed Burrow was a famous singer, Nolan Bohrn. Nolan said that he was very happy in his career and that he had just received his tenth gold record. Nolan sings NRock an' Rolln but everyone is predicting that it is only a phase and that it will soon pass away. Next on the program were those two famous pilots, Wayne Grimes and Franklyn Walton. They had just broken the record for the fastest trip to Mars. We recalled that while we were in High School records were being broken for trips across the U.S. Times have changed! The program was interrupted for a special message by the head of Dairy Incorporated, Wayne Mouse. Wayne had started out in the dairy business soon after graduation from college and is now owner of one of the largest dairies in the universe. Aftef WPeopleto Peoplen came the show nThis is Your Wifen. This week's nomination for the Best Wife and Mother was Eleanor CBeasleyJ Love. Eleanor looked radiantly happy and we hurridly sent a telegram to congratulate her on her success. To make a successful home is still important even in this day of space travel, satelIites, and atomic energy. Linda switched channels and we listened to a report from the Command- er of the Space Force, Ronnie Smith. Ronnie had joined the service when he was graduated from Urich High, then later he had gone to the Space Force Academy, and was now a pretty important guy. We recalled how good an organizer he had been in school. July A ---- Dear Diary, Today while 1 was down town I happened to stop by the lecture hall and there was Dorcy Cox giving a reading on the importance of peace and the meaning of Independence. After the program I was pleased to be on hand when Dorcv was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for outstanding aid in Inter-Planetary Relations. Linda brought over a copy of the Times and we looked at the stock quotations. This is a habit acquired during our senior high school days when we studied common stocks in Mr. Teague's American Problems Class. Dixie Emick had an article in the paper about the finicial condition of American Telephone and Telegraph. Since Dixie is the controlling stock- holder of the company, she really makes those tycoons on Wall Street sit up and take notice. July 5 ---- Dear Diary, Linda and I are in Paris to attend the Fashion Designing Convention. Today we met Betty Hudson who is a world famous model and engaged her to help us stage our Fashion Show in Venus City, Venus. While in Paris we visited the American Embassy and were glad to get the chance to see Duane Shulse, our ambassador to France. Duane said that he liked his work but that without the help of Avis Hilte, his secretary, he could never get anything done. Avis always could get along with everyone, and I guess that she has completely captivated the French people with her winning ways. Also,I might add she's captivated Johnny I.,too.
