To start off, as usual, the seniors treated the freshmen to their annual initiation. As the year progressed, the freshmen joined in many of the activities, In the Homecoming parade, the class had a float featuring the l959 Queen. For the school carnival, the freshies operated a sponge-throwing booth. The freshman boys were able to take the new industrial arts course this year, and the girls formed a large portion of the girls' glee club.
