To start off, as usual, the seniors treated the freshmen to their annual initiation. As the year progressed, the freshmen joined in many of the activities, In the Homecoming parade, the class had a float featuring the l959 Queen. For the school carnival, the freshies operated a sponge-throwing booth. The freshman boys were able to take the new industrial arts course this year, and the girls formed a large portion of the girls' glee club. The class had a lot of fun at their sliding and skating parties during the winter months, x 9 ' X W7 ww VP-QSHMAN

NOT PICTURED: David Sorensen. SOPHOMORES On December 21, the sophomore class had a combination sliding and going away party for Bill Schaeffer. It was held at Waveland Golf Course. After the sliding they enjoyed eating at Wi11ard's Restaurant, where Bill was pleasantly surprised with an identification bracelet. The money-making project for the sophomores this year was selling homecoming pins. They are looking forward to the projects and activities which will be coming up during their junior year. ,.-E, -an-
