Preparation for the '56 football season began in August at a time when the bleaching sun seemed more desirable at Muzzy's than at U.H.S.'s green grid- iron. The preview as well as the first game were deci- sive victories forthe Maroon and White. The London game was looked forward to with great expectations, but the powerful Raiders proved too strong for the Climbers. C.B.L. foes fell fast and furiously with Arlington, Delaware, and Grandview stopped cold by the Climb- ers defense. The sledding became rougher with resulting losses to Bexley and Mt. Vernon in succession. - Z The Climbers regained their poise and strength and the Northeastern game was recorded in the Victory Column. A decisive victory over Marysville ended the season.
