'S FUTURE TEACHERS OF AMERICA The future teachers association is composed of an energetic group of students who plan to devote their lives to the noble profession of teaching. Under the sponsorship of Miss Thornton, they assist teachers by grading papers and helping with other assorted tasks which give the teachers an extra moment or two of free time. In addition they have an opportunity to try their hand in the class- room teaching classes in the junior high and elementary schools. All these activities are encouraged in the club to promote interest in the teaching profession and to give those interested in teaching a better understanding of what is involved in teaching. Highlight of the social activities in which the club participated during the year was the faculty tea served by the club to the teachers of the high school on February 13. Future teacher officers are: Adrienne Hudg- ings, President, Patsy Buck, Vice President, Shirley Squire, Secretary, Ann Murphy, Treasurer, and Cynthia Craig, Song Leader and Parliamentarian.
