Other players on this year's varisty team were Gene Stokes, guard, Max Howell guard Dick White forward, and Gilbert Ware, guard. Kneeling in front are managers Dick Strimel Charles Craig and Dick Moody. PLASTIC RESEARCH Even before football season was ended, thoughts were turning toward basketball, as Coach Bob Burk- holder started working toward another successful season in the CBL. With Seniors Birt, Childers, Cook Howell, Sanders, Stokes, and White playing their last season for Urbana High, it promised to be a very good season--and it was. The record ended with twelve games won and seven lost, the team in third place in the league, right behind Mt. Vernon and Upper Arlington. Childers led the league with 186 points scored, while he and Sanders were both named to the All- CBL team. Statistically, the 'Climbers had a good year, scoring 1140 points to their opponent's 1043, and racking up a per-game average of 59. 5 points.
