Nl., ,, There were many persons behind this year's successful football sea- son, but as always a few towns- people did more than their share in helping to make it possible. Coach Tom Watson was aided this year by Fred Booze, who every Friday night missed seeing our team play in order to scout the next week's opponent's games. Helping out with the coach- ing was Kenny Gladden, himself an ex-coach and player, and an avid U. H. S. follower. Aiding also was Danny Eggleston, who acted as sta- tistician for the team as he followed plays up and down the sidelines at each game. I ff----'1,.,f ,572 . sf 1 ,Ng MS URBANA SERVICE CENTER A

Football means giving up those last few days of vacation for the players, but every- one seems to feel that it's worth it. It was certainly worth it this year, with one team making the best showing in many a year. The CBL championship was almost in sight until that heart- breaking game with Upper Arlington. However, the team was league runner-up, and we finished the season with an over-all record of eight wins and one loss. Another highlight was the naming of seven of our players to the all CBL team, more than any other school in the league. These boys were Birt, Childers, Harvey, Keim, Lowe, Sanders and Stokes. It was an excellent first year for Coach Tom Watson and company, and of course there's always next year. . . and Arlington.
