Taking a break is just as popular at Clara Maass as at Upsala. Here the student nurses enjoy a snack of milk and crackers to the ac- companiment of a uke. MPA M4455 alll CLARA MAASS MEMGRIAL HCDSPITAL O l Clara Maass Memorial Hospital is named for its graduate who gave her life in the yellow fever experiments conducted in Cuba at the beginning of the century. In Clara Maass' days as a student nurse Upsala was iust get- ting started in Brooklyn, and no one had thought of a nursing curriculum that would combine the facilities of both institutions.
