Track and Field Day In 1955 the runners-up of the 1954 Track and Field Day competition avenged their losses on Viliing Field. In 1955 the annual Greek competition found the Rhos coasting to an easy victory over rival fra- ternities. The going was a bit tougher in sorority circles, and when the smoke had cleared the Alphies were declared victors over the Chis by the narrow margin of 2h points. The entire cast of Twelfth Night joins in the final chorus ofthe T955 Spring Week Show. NIGHT The team of Will Shakes- peare and Bob Green made its debut during Spring Week when Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, with music by Bob Green was presented under the direction of Mr. Earl S. Dossey. The large cast in- cluded Bob Lind as Duke Or- sino, Howard Warshafsky as Sir Toby Belch, Gwen Thelin as Maria, Dave Anderson as Sir Andrew Aguecheek, Joel Carucci as Feste, the clown, Edithe Jurew as Countess Olivia, Caroline Worth as Vi- ola, and Dick Evers as Mal- volio. The bright, gay music conducted by John Almquist, plus the wit and dancing of the cast, all added up toa very successful production. The warm and friendly spirit of gay Upsalans pervaded the atmosphere of the Terrace Room of the Mosque, where the grand finale of Spring Week, the All- Upsala Banquet, was held. After the din- ner, the annual awards for extra-curricular participation were made. The evening of- ficially ended Spring Week, l955, but the memories of it still linger in the hearts of many.
