Determination will make a champion someday. Standing: Randolph, Werner, Coach Fleck, Post, Mottahe' deh. Seated: Mink, Campanel- Ia, Zargham. TABLE TENNIS Once again Coach Ted Fleck gave Upsala one of the table tennis powers in the East. Excellent records by Captain Tony Companella I2I-3I, Dary Zarghan I22-51, and consistent play by Randolph, Werner, Post, Mottahedeh, and Mink, gave the poddlers a record of 8 wins and I loss. The team membership will greatly be aftected by graduation. Only Campanella graduates, but his top notch play will be sorely missed. In three years of Intercollegiate competition, Captain Tony compiled a record of IO8 wins and 7 losses. Y With wins over highly rated Philadelphia Col- lege of Pharmacy and Philadelphia Textile, the Fleckmen are confident that they will make a good showing in the National Intercollegiate Tournament at Athens, Ohio. TRACK 1955 saw the Upsala speedsters compile a record of four wins and four losses, featuring wins over Panzer, Brooklyn College, St. Peter's, and Fairleigh Dickinson. Bill Holt set new records for the 100 and 200-yard Dashes. The other new marks were made by Buchanan in the 440, and Holland in the High Jump. The T956 edition will face some tough op- ponents including Kings Point, Bridgeport, and Hofstra, to mention a few. Having faced a ten-game schedule, Up- sala netted two victories and three losses while placing in their other five matches. Outstanding men on the squad were Doug Erickson, Bill Everett, and Art Harke. The most improved player on the team was sophomore John Schoening. Coach Arthur Breyer feels a bit more optimistic about the T956 squad with many of his lettermen returning in the fall. GOLF With the return of five lettermen, Coach Bob Brill can look forward to another winning season. Under the leadership of last year's coach, George Fenwick, Upsala's dormant golf team moved into the active list and sported a 6-3-l record. This year the golfers will face some formidable opponents in Hofstra, St. Peter's, Adelphi, and Seton Hall. Veterans Frank Martelli, Bill Michalek, Dick Botticelli, and Dick Santoro will make up the bulk of the T956 squad.
