The fraternity originated because of the need of some social organization for Jewish students, and up to date has developed several of the outstanding 1nen in school. Alpha Sigma Upsilon has grown in the short time since it was organized into a remarkably strong group and can boast of a high scholastic rating, while members have been active in debate and athletics. At present one of the meni- bers of the fraternity holds the presidency of the senior classy The Alpha Sigma Upsilon has proven its value in the aiding of non-Chris- tian students in a more rounded social life, and has also directed the attention of these men toward their school.
